Hey Gang!
:?: Quick question for you: Are you a content marketer?

What are some tips, tools and resources you can share with the community that are working for you to get your content out there, get it seen, and to increase engagement?

I wrote an article here on BN recently that shares my thoughts on the subject:

I go to buzzsumo and other competitor blogs, find out what content already resonates with the marketplace, and then apply the skyscraper technique to make my content better.

How can you make it better?

- add more images / infographics
- if they don't have video, add a video
- write more clear, make it more simpler
- add more tips (ex. if they have 5 tips to do xyz, I'll do 6 or 10)
- add facts, case studies, and references to back up your claims
- write a longer, more detailed article
- include an assignment or action steps for people to take
- end with a call-to-action that encourages people to leave comments

that's what I do

Thanks for sharing Lynda...

So are there specific routines or types of content that you find work better than others when blogging?

On Facebook, can you define what 'real engagement' looks like for you and the results it creates?

That's excellent Tim...
So essentially you're creating a multi-media enhanced, more engaging piece of content, rather than just a basic written word article right?

Very similar to methods I use. I've never heard it called the skyscraper method, I call it an Atomic Article, multiple particles to create a powerful, unified atom.
